Our Company at a Glance
New England Surveying & Engineering is a Land Development consultancy based in Armidale, New South Wales. We provide Surveying, Engineering, Town Planning and Project Management services to projects located throughout Northern New South Wales. We have a long history in Armidale being established by Jim Hawkins in 1955. In 1994 we became Hawkins Hook & Co, later moving into our current premises at 27 Marsh Street, Armidale. Over this time we have Surveyed nearly all of Armidale, and have been involved in most of the town’s major projects.
In 2013 we became New England Surveying & Engineering, reflecting the diversified range of services that we now provide. Our aim is to provide our clients with a full suite of Land Development services under one roof. This results not great efficiencies as well as the convenience of only having to deal with a single consultancy.
In the field our Surveyors are equipped with modern Total Station and Real Time GPS technology, while in the office we utilise the latest CAD packages for processing Survey data, drafting and design.
